Our Technique

At Legal Search Associates, Inc., a careful evaluation of potential projects is made before conducting a search. This requires a clearly defined description of the lateral opening and a realistic likelihood of finding the appropriate candidate. The consultant gains a working knowledge of the client organization, its corporate philosophy and its position in the industry.

Only after the aforementioned criteria has been met is the search launched. Then, a thorough, confidential search is made to identify outstanding prospects who demonstrate sincere interest and possess the required background necessary for serious consideration for the position.

Presentation of potential candidates is always preceded by conversation with the recruiting coordinator or hiring official before a resume or other informational material about the attorney is forwarded to the client. Academic transcripts and/or references are obtained when requested. Personal interviews with the candidate are conducted when practical.

Professionalism

Legal Search Associates, Inc. realizes that the amount of time available for communicating with a consultant is limited.  Every attempt is made to eliminate unnecessary calls. In turn, it is expected that the client will recognize the importance of our efforts on behalf of the client and be willing to communicate with the consultant when requested.

If a consultant submits the resume of an attorney whose credentials are already on file with the client, timely communication with Legal Search Associates, Inc. will avoid any conflict over search fee expectations.

Offers and Followup

Legal Search Associates, Inc. maintains contact with the applicant and the client during the entire process and beyond.

If there is a desire to submit an offer of employment or rejection through the consultant, Legal Search Associates, Inc. will cooperate. If the client wishes to make the offer or communicate other information directly to the candidate, there is no problem with that procedure.

Legal Search Associates, Inc. maintains close contact with its client and successful candidate even after the candidate is firmly established in the new position. Satisfaction on the part of both parties is extremely important to the consultants at Legal Search Associates, Inc.
